MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello people!

Today I'm going to explain the christmas of different places.
In France, they celebrated in Christmas Eve, where French children leave their shoes at the fireplace for Santa Claus to fill them with gifts. In the next morning they discover that in addition they have a lot of sweets, fruits and presents. In churches they make plays of the birth of Christ, with actress and puppets.

In Italy, they celebrate the festivals of Merry Christmas eight days before, and they continue with the magithey. Before  Christmas Eve they read a text and then they finish the day with a big dinner with a cake called "panettone" as a dessert. In the houses they put a thing called "Urna del Destino" and gifts are randomly removed. At night they put candels around the birth, they say prayers and the childs recite some poems. And in the 6th of January, one witch leave gifts to children who have been good and coal to bad childs like the Olentzero and Three Magi here.

In USA, the Christmas are different between some states, because the inhabitants of each country have different customs. In Pennsylvania, the Moravians construct a landscape called "putz" under the Christams tree, while the germans receive gifts for the Belsnickle, and struck with his rod if they behaviour has been bad. In the South, they shoot firearms to greet the distant neighbors. In Alaska they carry for the door to door one small star on the top of a pole, which follows "los hombres de Herodes" to caught. In the door of tropical houses they put tropical pineapple, symbol of hospitality.

Canada's Christmas and USA's Christmas are similar although, in some provinces they have different customs. The skimos celebrate a big winter festival called "Sinck Tuck" which consisted in a festival with a lot of dances and gifts; in the Labrador, they kept turnis since summer to give them to children. And in Nova Scotia, in all the mornings of Christmas they sing Breton and Basque songs and carols.

In the Basque Country, I hope that everybody knows how are Christams celebrate. At Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the all families meet in one house and they eat a lot of things, and in Christmas Eve the Olentzero came and give to childs a lot of presents, like the Three Magic in 5th of January.

As you can see there are a lot of different ways of celebrating Christmas, depending on the country. In my opinion the best Christmas are held in the Basque Country.

I WISH YOU ALL A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
